Is Your Browser Inhibiting Your Experience?
Have you ever spoken with a half-way wanna- be techie and mentioned using Internet Explorer. I’m sure they exploded and went on a rampage about how horrible it is and how other browsers have a glorious attributes. I have watched friends talk about browsers with a passion in their eyes that closely resembles religion.
I find it a little funny that people get so worked up about something that seems like a small detail in my world. Viruses, what are those? Malware, still not sure what that is. The fact that I can “catch” something online that will destroy my slick shiny new laptop in 2.2 seconds doesn’t seem to cross my mind.
In fact, I get more annoyed with that “Virus Detected” pop ups that force me to shut down my computer, when I was doing nothing wrong. What happened to the days when only adult content surfers got viruses? I don’t think that I should be exposed to anything while I lust over some sky scrapers at www.shoerazzi.com.
I must face the facts, I do need to be protected online and some browsers are just better at protecting then others. I have read blogs with people giving death wishes out to Internet Explorer and how Microsoft paid for one of the latest safety reports. (Internet Explorer 9 was found to be the safest) Most tech enthusiast recommend Firefox or Chrome.
I grew up only knowing Internet Explorer so I didn’t see what others could do. I personally use Firefox because it has several features on its toolbar that are very useful. I have used Aviary screenshot many times. I downloaded Google Chrome figuring it would incorporate all things ruled by Google. I didn’t find a lot of uses for it, but I was able to make everything ruled by Google.
All of that being said, I have a Firefox crush. I don’t have to worry about compatibility mode, and for using Niche Traffic Builder- there cannot be a better way.
